Paul Williams Proves He Still Has It

Just wanted to christen Bluegrass from Afar by posting one of my favorite performances from the last night of MACC (Musicians Against Childhood Cancer) 2016 near Columbus, Ohio. This is from the set Paul did there in July that year with Doyle Lawson and some other faces you will recognize if you are a bluegrass fan.

This is Paul Williams, a man who has been in the bluegrass music business for a long time and who had the good fortune to be a key member of some of the most influential bluegrass bands in bluegrass history.  He is, of course, a tremendous mandolin picker, but for me it's always been about that great high tenor voice of his. This is Paul proving that at 81 years of age his voice is as strong as it has ever been.

This is Paul's version of the post-World-War-II country classic, "Fraulein."
